He was born February 10, 1926 in Tipton, Indiana and moved to Punta Gorda
in 1993 from La Mirada, California. He graduated from the University of Indiana in
1949 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. William was a retired printing
supplies salesman and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army Air Corps.
Survived by two sons, William L. Smyser of Chino Hills, CA and Robert D.
Smyser of La Mirada; three sisters, Barbara Miller of Marion, IN, Alma Hamann of Largo, FL and Margaret Slater of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlestine A. Smyser, who
died November 18, 2006.
