William Henry Young, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wednesday,
October 21, 2009 at Tidewell Hospice & Palliative Care in Port Charlotte.

He was born October 14, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. and moved to Port Charlotte 19 yrs. ago from New Rochelle, NY. William was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a retired chef and owner and operator of restaurants in New York.

Survived by his loving wife, Mary L. Young of Port Charlotte; three sons,
William Michael Young of Port Charlotte, Robert Charles (wife -Donna Marie)Young of New Rochelle, NY and John Anthony Young of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren Conor Robert Young and Lily Ann Young;

Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2009 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM with a wake service at 7:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 26, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Entombment and military honors will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.

Sorry about your loss. Am wondering if you are the same Mary Lou Alfano, who lived on Sydenham St. and graduated from Little Flower CHS in 1954. I was a neighbor and walked to school with you once upon a time. Can't believe you lived in New Rochelle and I lived across TZ bridge in Rockland County. Must be deja vu involved or God's way of our recalling the past. Again sorry to hear about your husband's passing. I lost mine about 2 years ago, and it takes as long as it takes for each of us.
