Winifred “Yvonne” Morrison, age 80, a resident of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 16, 2020 at her residence.
Winifred was born July 9, 1940 in Mahaicony, Guyana, South America to the late Darling “Alma” Patterson and Leonard Thompson. Winifred migrated to the US in 1965 and was an Infant Care Technician in the Pediatric unit of Saint Vincent Hospital in New York City before moving to Port Charlotte with her husband, the late James “Burnell” Morrison. She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church of Port Charlotte and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends.
Winifred is survived by her daughter Rhonda; grandchildren Sean, Steven and Michael; great grandchildren Brenna and Lucas; cousins Clover, Keith, Desiree, Irene, Starrett, Flint, Gordon, Wayne,  Aidan, Selwyn, Denise, Donna, Sherlyn, Esrick, Hugh, Sharon, Carolyn, Clint, Girthley, Camille, Andrea, Devarada, Audrey, Sherry, Conrad, Alwyn, Kenrick, Leonard, Lionel, Robert, Glensford, Gladston, Shellon, Norlene, Charlyn, Marcia, Leslyn, Beulah, Dolly, Mechelle, Lorianne, the late Shirley Fraser and Olga Harte, and many others; friends Blossom, Desmond, Tisha, Marlene, Ana, Edric, Fred, Joslyn, Joan, Pansy, Jane, Rita, Leah, Carlton, Esther and many others.
Visitation will be held at Roberson Funeral Home on Wednesday December 30, 2020 from  9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Funeral services  will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 1365 Viscaya Dr., Port Charlotte, FL 33952 at 11:00 AM December 30^th.  Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, Florida.
