Thomas F. Shepard, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his Port Charlotte residence.

Thomas was born in Syracuse, New York to Walton W. and Rosemary Kay Shephard on Saturday, May 23, 1942.  A child of this country’s greatest generation, he went on to graduate high school and join the United States Air Force.  He served both within the U.S. and abroad during his time in service, and was honorably discharged in 1968 upon completeing his obligation of service.  He took his experiences from his time in service and applied this knowledge to his civilian life.  He worked for a time as a physical instructor, a cook, and a painter over the years.  While Thomas had been married for many years and raised several children, he was during his later years a bachlore.

Surviving him are his children and step-children, a brother, a sister, and his close friend, Mark Wood.
