James Daniel Guerin, II, 72, of Babcock Ranch, Florida, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Jim (his preferred name) was preceded in death by his father, James Daniel Guerin; mother, Dorothy Chauvin Guerin; sister Natalie Guerin; and brother David Guerin. He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Guerin, with whom he shared 51 joyous years of marriage, his sisters PJ and Penny, his nieces Ellen and Amy, his nephews Adam, AJ, Ethan, and Brian, and his three children: Emily Heinzelmann, Alexander Guerin, and James Daniel Guerin III; and his 10 grandchildren, who all strive to honor his memory and carry on his legacy.
Jim Guerin was a man gifted with many professional talents, from his days managing operations at the Showpack plastics facility in Connecticut to his extremely successful career in the aluminum industry in Florida, working for Arrow Aluminum and Yoder Aluminum before reaching his professional pinnacle as Co-owner and Vice President of Liberty Aluminum Co. with his close friend and business partner James E. Lowndes.
Jim Guerin was widely respected throughout Southwest Florida for his work ethic, his unwavering personal and professional integrity, and his genuine compassion for his peers and coworkers that led to many lasting friendships. He will be dearly missed by many.
A memorial service celebrating Jim’s life will be held 11:00 A.m. on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home located at 215 Mary Street in Punta Gorda, Florida.
