I will always remember the fun times we had with Everett and Pastor Larry while we practiced for our Christmas services with the children at Lutheran Church of the Cross. He also showed so much patience with us during Vacation Bible School!!!

Everett Leonard and I became friends through the Charlotte County FRIENDS of MUSIC for which he gave so much of himself in service. He and Lois Staple (charter member) worked the Music Corner for years. Later I became the Pres. of FOM and was so pleased that during that time we had a Commerative Brunch at the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club to honor him and all the charter members who were still living. The world was made a better place for his having been here. Heaven too must rejoice in having such a good man join the higher ones. Sincerely, Connie Harris Swett Punta Gorda p.s. I regret that I cannot attend the service as I have a broken pelvic bone and am not navigating just yet. Lois Staple resides at the Regents Club in Port Charlotte and I have had the staff there notify her of Leonard's passing. He gave her his piano when he moved to Texas and helped her through some difficult times. She has lung cancer and is in hospice there on Vick Street.
