William Gray (Bill) Entenmann, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of the Boston area, died Thursday, May 25, 2006 in Port Charlotte.
Bill was born May 19, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota. A veteran of the United States Navy, World War II, Pacific Theater, and a retired Executive with Ford Motor Company for 35, he moved to Port Charlotte in 1990 from Boston, Massachusetts. Bill liked to build and fly Experimental Aircraft, restoring classic Ford Mustang cars, and enjoyed reading. In his youth in Minnesota he liked to hunt, fish and boat. He was a member, Past Commander and Active Mission Pilot of the Civil Air Patrol, Charlotte County Squadron, Wing FL051, volunteer with the Charlotte County Sheriffs Department, member B.P.O. Elks Lodge 2153 of Port Charlotte, and was a Life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1526 in Medway, Massachusetts.
Bill was a kind, loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved children, son James Entenmann of Northbridge, MA, two daughters, Judith Porter of Medway, MA and Diane Entenmann of Peru, MA; one brother, John Entenmann of Eden Prairie, MN, and one sister, Katherine Kirby of Osceola, WI; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie L. Entenmann in 1997.
