Born July 4th, 1922 in Hudson, New York to the late Frederick and Rose Steinen, Margaret, known as Maggie by family and friends, retired after 37 years with Avon Products, Inc. and moved to Port Charlotte in 1974 with her husband Frank, from Monsey. Maggie loved spending her spare time playing Bingo and cards, and being with her family and many friends.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Susan (Richard) Weingarten of Port Charlotte; one grandson, Christopher Weingarten; a sister, Rose Marie (James (Jim)) McKenna of Port Charlotte; one nephew, Fred Robert (Linda) McKenna and grand nephew, Ben McKenna. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Frank Pettit, and nephew, James Joseph McKenna.
