So many memories to smile about when I think about Bob, from the childhood memories to the good friend he was to my parents. I remember the friends father who laughing, would refer to us kids as crumbgrabbers. His love for all of you showed thru in the smallest of things like the way he would call Loveann ‘daughter’, the pride he expressed for Rob, and how Bob would affectionately refer to Sylvia as the Mrs. with a grin on his face. I know this is a difficult time and hope your memories will give you strength. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, with love - Darline & John

My deepest sympathy to the Maher family. I miss Bob. We worked out together at the Y, laughing most of the time. And he had the best garage for visiting. So very sorry for this sad passing.

I loved Bob and was so happy to be related to him and Sylvia. His teasing, smile and kindness when visiting your home in Port Charlotte made me want to return. I knew that we would be able to spend many more years together with our children Amy and Rob and was looking forward to those times. I loved Bob's stories about the motorcycle trips from Michigan to Florida with Sylvia. I was looking forward to more stories when we were together again. He was also teaching me to appreciate the taste of beer something my own father liked many years ago in Western PA. May God Bless him and welcome him home to a place of honor for his hard work, honesty and kindness. Love, JoAnn

I am so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. He was a wonderful man and I know his children loved him very much. Bob's son Rob is a great friend of mine and one of the best people I know - this was doubtless because of how he was raised. Wherever he is now, I know he is proud.

I only met Mr. Maher fairly recently as one of the nurses that took care of him at Signature Health Care, but I liked Mr. Maher very much from the first day I met him. He was always smiling and happy- and always very appreciative of all the staff. We were all very saddened to hear of his passing. He was very well liked during his stay and we will miss him.

I offer my deepest condolences to the Maher family during this very trying time. Bob was a kind and gracious man who had a keen sense of humor and always seemed to have a smile on his face. You will not find two better people than his children, Rob and Loveann and it is no wonder the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. He brought warmth and love to many and I know his wife, Sylvia and children will miss him deeply. Bob's son, Rob, has been an amazing friend for many years and I just wanted to say I am so sorry for the passing of Bob. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Maher, Rob and Loveann, We are so sorry for the loss of your husband and father. We truly loved Bob. He was such a kind, funny and generous soul. He made everyone feel welcome. I will always cherish the times I spent with him from our first meeting so many Easters ago to our last during his visit to our Valley Forge home. I enjoyed teasing with Mr. Maher, making cocktails with him and even rotating all the umbrellas around the pool so that he would have shade. Today your tears are sadness but in the future may they only accompany fond memories of the times you had with Mr. Maher. May Bob rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Molly, Katarina and Isabella
