Cyril S. Vaughn, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, November 30, 2010 at Tidwell Hospice in Port Charlotte. He was born April 11, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Port Charlotte with his wife Mary Ellen in 1990 from Brooklyn, he spent most of his days watching Westerns and listening to jazz music. He always enjoyed friends and family visits. He was a retired Maintenace supervisor in New York City. Veteran of WW II serving in the US Navy.
Survived by his children, a daughter, Bonita Brown of Port Charlotte; four sons, Cyril Vaughn of Queens, NY, Cecil R. Vaughn of Port Charlotte, FL, Charles S. Vaughn of Port Charlotte, FL, Richard Vaughn of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Shirley Crosson, a sister in-law Dora Campbell; 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, his little buddy the human yorkie named Braxton, many nieces, nephews and numerous relatives and friends. Preceded him in death, his beautiful wife Mary Ellen and his grandson Charles Vaughn Jr. known to all as little Charlie. He will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace Daddy…we will always love and miss you.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 5, 2010 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 A Monday, December 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
