Mr. Royden W. Cook, 95, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Atco, New Jersey, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 in Port Charlotte.
Royden was born in Atco, New Jersey on February 7, 1915 to the late William and Theresa (nee – Gandolfi) Cook. Royden worked for Garvey’s in New Jersey as a Foreman until his retirement, following which he moved from his native Atco to Port Charlotte in 1976. He was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his three children; daughters Pamela (Jeff) Diebold of Tucson, AZ, and Violet M. Thibodeau of Port Charlotte, FL, and son Walter Mendell of Fortescue, NJ; one brother, Donald (Norma) Cook of Atco, NJ; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Royden was preceded in death by a son, Billy Cook, a brother, Edward Cook, a sister Marie Doyle, and his wives Lavancha Cook and Eleanor E. Cook.
