Linda L. Calderone, 67, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at her Port Charlotte home with her husband and family at her bedside.
Born November 4, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Edward L. and Ruth (nee – Cannon) Nuzum, Linda and her husband Phillip moved from her native Pennsylvania to Port Charlotte following an early retirement for health concerns, from Home Depot as a head cashier.
Linda loved being outdoors with the sunshine on her face and enjoyed family time, traveling, nature, music, dancing and her Pittsburgh Steelers. She was your friend and she loved conversation. Her sense of humor was impeccable, her smile was infectious and her laughter warmed your heart. Linda’s most cherished accomplishment was her children and her grandchildren. Linda was loved and adored by anyone who met her, especially her large extended family and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband 50 years, Phillip F. Calderone; eldest son, Carl E. Calderone and daughter-in-law Linda B. Calderone, of Chillicothe, OH, and their children, Devin Calderone of Pittsburgh, PA, Amber and Justin Ramirez of Fayetteville, NC, Joshua and Kara Leeson and Corbin Leeson, all of Chillicothe, OH; youngest son, Dean Calderone and daughter-in-law Jennifer Calderone, of Pittsburgh, PA, and their children, Dean Jr. and Shane, also of Pittsburgh, PA; brothers, Edward, Bradley and Donald Nuzum; and sisters, Barbara Thomas, Susan Newell, and Nyla Gallina. In addition to her parents Edward and Ruth, Linda was preceded in death by brothers’ Randall and Sterling Nuzum.
A gathering celebrating Linda’s life will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 at the Calderone families Port Charlotte residence.
