Mavis was born in Manchester, Jamaica and moved to Port Charlotte in 2003 from Brooklyn, New York. She was a vibrant, kind-hearted, and loving individual. She loved dancing to her oldies, but goodies Reggae music. Her grandkids were the love of her life. She was a great caretaker for them. She loved cooking for them and they loved her food too. She was a very clean person who loved a clean home. She was a great host to friends and family that visited. She was very sophisticated and always loved the finer things in life. She always loved to give a listening ear and she gave encouraging advice.
