Diana Lee Bybel, 67, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte.

Diana was born November 12, 1949, in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, to Steve and Eva Mae (nee – Sanders) Bybel. Diana retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation and moved to Florida in 1993 where she worked for Charlotte County Public Schools in the finance Department. She retired from there in 2012 and enjoyed her retirement by traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed helping out at the Trinity Soup Kitchen. Diana was a member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, and the Loyal Order of Moose.

Diana is survived by her Fiancé James Redmon, his children, Dawn (Yvette) Waters, Jimmy, and Lindy; grandchildren, Murphy, Shane, Andrew, Mckenzie, Elijah and Arabella. She is also survived by her mother, Eva Mae Bybel of Port Charlotte, FL, sisters, Valerie Adams of Anderson, IN, and Stephanie Blackman of Port Charlotte, FL; nephews, James Adams of San Leandro, CA, Shawn Adams of Deerfield Beach, FL, Steve (Adrian) Conner and their children Amber, Easton and Emersyn, all of Marco Island, FL; niece, Tina (John) Yelen of West Chester, IL; and grand-nephew, Todd (Lori) Baker of IN. Diana was preceded in death by her father, Steve.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 2:00 PM, December 17, 2016, at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida 33948. In lieu of flowers donations in Diana’s memory are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 4575 Via Royale #110, Fort Myers, Florida 33919
