Andrea Alison Liverpool-Sewell, 59, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, due to ongoing complications from lupus.
Andrea was born June 22, 1965, in Kingston, Jamaica to Athreen and Sladford Sewell. Andrea grew up mainly in Farmingdale, New York. After high school, Andrea attended Farmingdale State College where she received her nursing degree. After becoming a registered nurse and working in New York for a few years, Andrea moved to Florida to continue her nursing career. In Florida, she met her former husband, Ronald Liverpool. They were married in April 1992 and their daughter, Renee, was born in June 1995. As a young adult, Andrea was diagnosed with lupus. Despite battling this painful disease, she never allowed it to define her or hold her back. Rather, she approached life with a good sense of humor and a healthy dose of sarcasm. Andrea enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. Loved ones will remember Andrea as a giving person and a good friend who loved jewelry and tending to her plants. Most importantly, Andrea loved spending time with her daughter, Renee. They had a strong bond built on friendship and unwavering support. Andrea was also a proud and loving grandmother to her grandson, Jamari, and never missed an opportunity to read to him. Andrea was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor. She will be missed dearly.
Andrea is survived by her daughter (Renee), grandson (Jamari), mother (Athreen), sister (Maureen), and brother (Andrew).
