Dionne C. Washington, 51 of Arcadia, Florida died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Tidewell Hospice House in Arcadia.
Dionne was born August 7, 1968 in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Ivan Wilson and Alice James Wilson. She grew up in Miami, FL where she attended high school at North Miami Senior High, and later went on to attend Broward Community College where she obtained her Associates Degree, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She moved to Charlotte County in 2009 from Hollywood, FL Dionne was a member of United Evangelical Missionary Outreach Church of Port Charlotte, FL She had a gift for serving others with dignity, respect and true compassion. She devoted herself not only to her patients, but to her family, and especially her children and grandchildren. They were her passion.
She is survived by her loving family, her husband, James A. Washington of Arcadia; a daughter, Briana A. Washington of Goldsboro, NC; two sons, Jordan J. Washington and Matthew J. Washington both of Port Charlotte; mother, Alice Wilson of Arcadia; sisters, Maxine Spalding of Margate, FL, Regena E. Silvera-Plummer of Pickering, Ont., Canada, and Sandra V. Wilson of Toronto, Ont., Canada; brothers, Brenton S. Wilson of Cayman Islands and Everton A. Wilson of Scarborough, Ont., Canada; two grandchildren, Jaliyah E. Washington and Matthew J. Washington both of Port Charlotte.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 Am at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
