Donald J. Weitzel passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 80 and surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.
Don was born to Charles and Lillian Weitzel on February 16, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a Korean War veteran for the U.S. Air Force. Being blind for most of his adult life, Don retired from the Division of Blind Services after 30 years of service where he earned several awards for innovative contributions to the Vending and Food Service industry. He was also an accomplished and avid bowler and fisherman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Madelyn; 8 children, 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 10:00AM-11:00AM, Monday, September 15, 2014 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Port Charlotte, Florida.
