Ethan was an amazing, fun-loving child who unconditionally loved his family, teachers, classmates and close friends. He took joy in being around his pets; two fish and three dogs. He greatly loved riding school buses, elevators, go-carts and Disney buses. While riding down the road he proudly pointed out and watched school buses, fire trucks and law enforcement vehicles driving with their lights and sirens on, until they were out of sight. On the way to school each morning he wanted “Mommy” to roll the window down, rain or shine, so that he could have a good look at the water while riding over the bridges. Pointing out the triangular markers on the local waterways was a favorite pastime while on family boat outings in Charlotte Harbor.
He was skilled at locating Exit signs, and was always trying to “jump jump” high enough to touch them. His biggest love was his iPad, having mastered Angry Birds, Temple Run and Elmo Loves ABCs. “Despicable Me” was his all-time favorite movie, while “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”, “Thomas the Train”, and “Peep and the Big Wide World” were his television/iPad favorites. He was thrilled to run and play on the playground. He loved to swim in his Bub’s pool or at the Disney water parks, and to “run run” anywhere that there were wide open spaces.
Each day after school Ethan took time out to play with his big sister, Kylee, with whom he could have hours of cackling, giggling fun, chasing each other through the house and jumping on beds or having pillow “fights”. His favorite toys were animated Holiday figures, cars or trucks with lights and sound, musical keyboards and Geotrax trains.
Ethan is survived by his family who will love and miss him every single day forward until they are reunited, including his parents, sisters, his great-grandfather, Derrill “Bub” Scott, great- grandmother, Sharon Estrada, his grandparents; Earl McAfee, Joyce McAfee Schleef, Steve Barker, Bob & Linda Estrada, his aunt, Sheryll Estrada and many aunts, uncles, and cousins all across the country.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, 21075 Quesada Ave., Port Charlotte, FL 33952. Reverend Bret Massey of the Port Charlotte Church of the Nazarene will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ethan Estrada Fund, c/o Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, District 4, 3280 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family.

Every time I say his name or think of him I am reminded of the sun. He just brightened up every room he walked into. His smile was infectious and he made me want to giggle with joy as I watched him experience the world around him. My favorite memory of him was when he was about 3 and had come over for the first time. He was like the little energizer bunny doing laps around the house because there was space for him to run/ walk fast. I remember a few years later and I said "hi Ethan" to him and he blessed me with a "Hi" right back I was shocked. I just giggled and grinned because he made me feel special.
As a mom I am heart-broken for you, because he was such a special little JOY, but I am so thankful for the times that you have let us share with him. Ky, we are sending you lots of Love and Hugs... You always have a special place here!

We love you guys so very much! Ky is such a big part of our family and we have been so blessed with the time we have gotten to spend with Ethan because of her. Every time I say his name or think of him I am reminded of the sun. He just brightened up every room he walked into. His smile was infectious and he made me want to giggle with joy as I watched him experience the world around him. My favorite memory of him was when he was about 3 and had come over for the first time. He was like the little energizer bunny doing laps around the house because there was space for him to run/ walk fast. I remember a few years later and I said "hi Ethan" to him and he blessed me with a "Hi" right back I was shocked. I just giggled and grinned because he made me feel special.
As a mom I am heart-broken for you, because he was such a special little JOY, but I am so thankful for the times that you have let us share with him. Ky, we are sending you lots of Love and Hugs... You always have a special place here!
