Gloria Doreen Dove, 79, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Born on January 22, 1945, to the late Iona Fisher and Obediah Buckley, Gloria was a beloved wife to Claude Dove for over 25 years and a cherished sister to her five brothers and two sisters. Gloria was the loving mother of five daughters, Jeaneva Orgill, Sonia Rawlins, Angela Bradford, Suzette Millwood, and Sheveya Dove, and a second mother to Andrea Dove, Carmelo, Stacey, and Fernando Senat. She was also a loving grandmother to many adored grandchildren, including Zakia Orneas, Shenequa Bradford, Janissia Nelson, Sonel Rawlins, Diamond Bradford, Raven-Christina Barrett, Keriyah Scott, Kira-Matthew Orneas, Kendall Orneas, Maya Rawlins, Messiah Orneas, Kamden Scott, Zion Kelly, and Caché Kelly.

In 1976, Gloria migrated to Canada, where she worked as a childcare provider before moving to the United States in 1978. She spent several years as a nurse’s assistant in New York, where she graduated from Evangelical School. In 1995, she moved to Port Charlotte, Florida, where she continued her work as a nursing assistant and became the owner of Dove Family Home Care. Gloria was also a founding member of the Shiloh Apostolic Temple, reflecting her strong faith and commitment to her community.

A viewing will be held at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel on Thursday, November 14th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will also be held at Roberson Funeral Home on Friday, November 15th, at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
