John “Jack” Rose, 81, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at HCA Florida
Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida.
Jack was born August 21, 1941, in Panama City, Republic of Panama, to the late James John and
Eileen A. Rose. He was a retired computer genius for Montgomery Ward and Sears and
Roebuck. He was a member of the Royal Order of Ponce De Leon Conquistadors of Charlotte
County and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda F. Rose of Punta Gorda, Florida; two sisters, Jackie
Orsulak of Duck, NC, and Gini Aasen of Denver, CO; four nieces and one nephew.
A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Isles Yacht
Club, 1780 West Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Jack’s honor to either one of Jack’s
