Lester Charles Allison, Jr, 90, of Port Charlotte, FL returned to his maker on Tuesday February 4th, 2020.
Born in Hopewell, VA on May 2, 1929, Lester lived most of his life in Washington, DC with his late wife of 54 years, Barbara A. Allison. Lester graduated from William and Mary College and then was drafted to the Army 82nd Airborne division where he served his country proudly. Lester was also a two-time Golden Glove Boxer. Lester retired from the Red Cross and spent the reminder of his life in Florida enjoying a large family and friends. Lester enjoyed family time the most but reading and gardening were his favorite past times.
Lester is survived by daughter Cheryl (David) Lidie, sons John (Cynthia) Allison and Craig (Linda) Allison, his grandchildren, Heather, Katie, Christina, Suzanne and Jamie, his great grandchildren, Marc, Nickolas, James, Conner, Kaitlyn, and two beautiful Lilys. His sister Joyce Kisner (Karen), sister in law Thelma (Benziger) Daily and brother in law Buddy (Mo) Daily. He was preceded in death by his brother Barry Allison and parents Tillie and Henry Zielinski.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date by the family.
