It is with a profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Melinda S. Behling, at the age of 57 on January 20, 2026.

Our mom was the cornerstone of our family. When she walked into a room her aura was bright and genuine. Everyone could feel it, especially children who would gravitate naturally to her.

She loved her family fiercely and found great joy being LuLu to her eight grandchildren and four extended grandchildren. She often found her happy place out in nature, driving a buggy surrounded by as many grandkids as possible.

Our mom was a fighter and wasn’t afraid to take on any challenge that life threw her way. She drew great strength from her deep faith and loving family. She kicked cancers butt the first time with grit, determination and a lot of prayers. The only fight she ever lost was when cancer came back a second time.

She is survived by her three children Alston (Katie) Paulk, Alexis (Ryan) Hill, Joseph Behling and his fiancé Madison Hankison, partner Tim Brady, eight grandchildren, Mother Barb Hutchinson, sisters Janet (Pat) Higgins and Debbie (Gary) Letscher, stepmother Marcia Goode. She was predeceased by her father John Goode, and her stepfather Larry Hutchinson.

A Christian service celebrating Mindy’s life will be held at New Life Church, 507 W. Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL on January 29th at 11:00 am. Burial immediately following at Royal Palms Cemetery. A reception, where all are welcome, will be held at Cypress M Ranch, 43650 Bermont Rd, Punta Gorda from 12:30-4pm.
