Monica Lynn Molitor, 61, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at home.
Monica was born March 1, 1956 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Roy M. and Mary F. (Helms) Bates. On June 21, 1980 she married her husband, James in a hot air balloon ceremony in Oswego, Illinois. They moved to Port Charlotte 20 years ago from Chicago, Illinois.
Monica is survived by her loving family, her husband, James N. Molitor, Jr.; a daughter, Heather Molitor Skowronski; two sons, James N. Molitor, III and Christopher R. Molitor; two brothers, Richard (Judy) Helms and Philip Helms; three sisters, Barbara Ann (Jimmy) Brewer, Sabrina Skinner and Brenda Moore; two sister-in-laws, Linda and Lisa Molitor; brother-in-law, Jeremy Molitor; mother-in-law, Joann M. Molitor; cousins, Beth (Darrell) Hart and Rebecca Baucom, Peter (Kathy) Molitor, Greg (Lynn) Molitor & Ron Molitor, Dorothy (Jim) Connell; Nieces, Joann Johnson, Kristin Cordova, Britannie Franklin, Theresa Helms, Debbie Helms and Tracy Helms; two granddaughters, Zoe Eva & Venus Jene Skowronski; grandsons, Preston Molitor & Zane Skowronski. Aunts Diane & Carol Molitor, Norma Zollars & Pam Anderson. Uncles Don & Tom Molitor. Several great nephews & nieces. And best friends, Tina Gerhart, Loretta Jackson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Graveside services and interment will follow on Saturday 11:00 AM at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
