Sandra ‘Sandy’ Ann (née-Quick) Miller , 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on December 29th, 2024.
Sandy was born in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in New Jersey. She was a graduate of Livingston High School. Sandy also spent many years living in and around Lansdale, Pennsylvania., before permanently relocating to Port Charlotte, Florida.
Sandy had a long and fulfilling career as a legal secretary working at the law office of Allen Levin. She enjoyed the outdoors and was hooked on fishing; from navigating the rocks at Unami Creek in PA. and boating around the many southwest Florida fishing spots. She loved sports and rooted for the Phillies, and you would of likely ran across her at the local bowling alley, a lifelong obsession she had which began in her early twenties and continued over the next 6 decades; her talent and skill at the lanes certainly stood out, reflected by the countless awards and trophies she stacked up over the years. Sandy was a proud member of the United States Bowling Congress in southwest Florida and Southeast Pennsylvania. Sandy was also a skilled seamstress and loved to sew and knit just about anything; when she wasn’t fixing rips and tears in her son’s clothing, she was creating wonderful blankets and outfits for family and friends.
Sandy was a radiant spirit and had a loving personality, she made friends wherever she went; she will be fondly remembered for her smile and friendliness.
Sandy is preceded in death by her late husband and love of her life, Robert Miller of 37 years. Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her daughters, Barbara Hartman (and husband David), Natalie (Barsky), and her son, Robert Hunsberger (and wife Azieb). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Michael, Alexis, and Gabrielle; and also 5 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved and adored.
