It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Stuart Craig Taylor — a beloved father, devoted family man, lifelong Manchester United fan, and dedicated golf course superintendent — who passed away on August 31, 2025, at the age of 61.
Stuart grew up in Sale, England, where from a young age he showed exceptional talent in both football (soccer) and cricket— a dual passion that shaped his youth and foreshadowed a lifelong love for sport. His skills on the pitch were matched only by his drive, determination, and fierce competitive spirit. In 1989, his journey brought him across the Atlantic to Florida, where he would plant deep roots and build a life filled with purpose, family, and community.
Stuart devoted much of his life to the game of golf — not just as a player, but as a true steward of the land. As a golf course superintendent, he poured his heart into every inch of the course, ensuring it was a place of beauty, challenge, and peace for all who walked it. The early mornings, the careful planning, and the quiet pride he took in his work left a lasting mark on everyone who had the pleasure of playing his course.
Off the course, Stuart was just as passionate about football (soccer) — a lifelong supporter of Manchester United. He followed the Red Devils through every high and low, proudly wearing his colors and sharing his love for the game with friends and family. Matchdays were sacred, full of hope, heart, and unwavering loyalty. “Glory, Glory Man United.”
But above all, Stuart was a family man. His greatest joy was spending time with those he loved — whether cheering from the sidelines, sharing a meal, or simply being present. His strength, humor, and warmth defined him, and his love was a steady foundation for all who knew him.
Stuart Craig Taylor leaves behind a legacy of dedication, passion, and deep love. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is survived by his children, Christian Taylor, Brett Taylor, and Devon Taylor, and by his sister, Karen Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brian and Audrey Taylor.
