We mourn the loss of a truly remarkable individual, Vanity Joy Dickinson, 62, of Port Charlotte, Florida, who passed away peacefully at her home on February 13th, 2025. Born on February 26, 1962, Vanity was the beloved daughter of Edith Sibley and the late Robert “Bobby” P. Dickinson Jr.
She leaves behind her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Christina, and Mitchell Martinson, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Vanity deeply adored her grandchildren, Vincent Newman, Ryan Martinson, and Abigail Martinson who reside in Venice, Italy. She is also survived by her caring stepfather, Larry Sibley, of Morganton, Georgia, and her three brothers: Rob and Wendy Dickinson of McDonough, Georgia; Tim and Amanda Miller of Brooks, Georgia; and Scott and Kibby Miller of Morganton, Georgia. Her nephews, Zach Dickinson of Newnan, Georgia, Ben Dickinson of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Christopher Miller of Covington, Georgia, and niece Braelyn Miller of Brooks, Georgia also hold her memory dearly. She will be missed by her late father’s, brother’s, Mike Dickinson of Linkwood, MD and Ben and Behula Dickinson of Linkwood, MD. Vanity is survived by her longtime partner, Art Falbo, of Port Charlotte, Florida, and her lifelong friend, Nancy McDevitt of Port Charlotte, Florida, stands among those who will miss her dearly.
Vanity was a resolute professional who excelled as a paralegal. Her career was a testament to her passion for helping others, especially the elderly, and her unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those she served. Beyond her professional achievements, Vanity found joy and fulfillment in her love for sports. She was an avid football fan, enjoyed playing golf, and relished the thrill of hitting the tennis courts. Her vibrant spirit, sharp wit, and love for life were evident in everything she did. Vanity’s presence lit up every room she entered, and she lived each moment to the fullest with a sailor’s candor and zest.
Vanity touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, humor, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Rest in peace, Vanity Dickinson. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known you.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 22. 2025 at Harbour Heights Park, 27420 Voyageur Dr, Punta Gorda, FL 33983 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Please dress comfortably and you are welcome to bring a covered dish if you’d like.
