LOYD GEORGE LANGMAID, 80, of North Port, Florida died peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida.
He was born May 16, 1931 in Dearborn, Michigan. Loyd was a retired supervisor for Michigan Bell and moved to Florida 6 years ago with his wife, Yvonne Marie from Lincoln, Michigan. He was a member of Alcona Masonic Lodge #292 and Ossinkeke Eagles Arie #3762. Loyd served as a volunteer Fireman and was a former Oakland County Water Patrolman.
Survived by his loving wife of 58 interesting years, Yvonne of North Port; a daughter, Adonia of White Lake, MI; two sons, Richard of White Lake, MI and Michael of Dearborn Heights, MI; a sister, Marjorie Johnson of Cass City, MI; and 5 grandchildren, Richard, Eric, Joel, Kaitlyn and Luke, and a great grandson, Cameron, all of White Lake.
He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and two Yorkies. His interests included peanut butter cookies and back scratchs.
