Albert Joseph Julian, 83, of Lake Suzy, Florida passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015.
Al was born June 17, 1931 in Boston, MA. Al worked in a record shop in downtown Boston. He became involved full time in the record business marketing and media promotion for major recording companies. He was the founder of Improvisational Promotions, the Independent Media Service Company, the Eastern General Manager for Concord Records for 18 years, founder of the Woody Herman Society, a member of the Jazz Educator Network International, served on the Board of Hope Academy of Music and Committees for the Charlotte County Jazz Society.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Anna; his brother, James Julian of Cape Cod, MA; nieces, Michelle and Renee Fluet of Winthrop, MA.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00AM, Friday, June 26, 2015 at San Antonio Catholic Church, Port Charlotte. Inurnment will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Academy of Music, 1589 Navigator Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33983.
