Ellie was born November 6 1930 in Trinidad, West Indies to the late Manuel G. and Maria Rodriguez Rezende. She moved to Port Charlotte in 1985 with her late, husband Joseph P. Reilly who died in 2000. Ellie enjoyed her dancing and her dance friends.
She is survived by her loving family, 4 daughters, Margarete (Rick) Couture of Bernardston, MA, Geri ( Mike Simoneau) Reilly of S. Burlington, VT, Sandra Phillips of Richmond, VA and Louise (Louis Williams) Reilly of Port Charlotte; three sons, Stephen Michael Reilly of Port Charlotte, Patrick (Laurie) Reilly of Williston, VT and Terrance Reilly of Port Charlotte; two sisters, Merna Englehart of Virginia and Molly Nivet of Trinidad; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friend to celebrate Ellie’s life will be held Monday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, January 28, 2019 at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948.

It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven.
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. Jehovah God, who started mankind off in a lovely garden, has promised to restore Paradise on this earth under the rule of His heavenly Kingdom in the hands of the now glorified Jesus Christ. (Matthew 6:10; Luke 23:42, 43) In that restored Paradise, the human family will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free from all sickness and disease. (Revelation 21:4)

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother, and within
30 days I also lost my mother-in-law. What helped us during this time period was
the comfort from the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 - "The Sovereign Lord
will swallow up death forever, and wipe away the tears from all faces." Also at
Revelation 21 verse 4 we find God's promise to remove both pain and death.
