She was born August 29, 1945 in San Fernando, California and moved to Florida from Reno, Nevada in 1966. Cooky was a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Survived by her loving family, husband of 31 years, Carmen J. Amato of North Port; three daughters, Kelly (Patrick Callan) Harris of North Port, Tammy (Bruce) Johnson of Mosheim, TN and Kimberly (Marc) Delp of Port Charlotte; a brother, Jerry Johnson of South Lake Tahoe, CA; 7 grandchildren, Brandon Barrington, Jason Barrington, Ariel Felts, Jaceb Johnson, Kelsey Delp, Aaron and Cody Harris; 4 great grandchildren, Kaden Dixson, Vianna Barrington, Zackery Barrington and Annabelle Barrington;
Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday 2:00 PM, June 27 , 2012 at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda, Florida.

Mom, I love you, and miss very much mom you werent supposed to leave me so soon, but I will never forget all the good times we spent together by the pool having our BBQ with our family and friends and laughing together and having out Mud Slide together. Just last night we all went to see the Fire Works and we missed you so much cause were always together if we didnt go to the FireWorks then we stayed home and did our own. That I always called the (Fake ones) and you always I got a kick out of that! Well I know that you were there last night watching them with us.
