Mrs. Anita Jean Hall, 68, resident of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Milford, Michigan, died on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Punta Gorda.
Anita was born October 20, 1942 in New York City’s Bronx, to the late Melvin and Lillian Bayliss, formerly of North Fort Myers, Florida. After graduating High School, Anita attended Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY, then met Harold Leslie Hall, Jr. and married Harold on May 9, 1964. She worked for a time for the Playboy Club in Vernon Valley, New Jersey, before they lived in Milford, MI where Anita worked for General Motors Proving Grounds until moving to Punta Gorda in 1991. Anita returned to work with Charlotte County Public Works Fleet Department, where she worked 8 years until retiring to enjoy her favorite pastimes, playing cards, traveling, and being with family and friends. She was a member of the Punta Gorda Yacht Club, Punta Gorda Isles Civet’s, Punta Gorda Garden Club, various Civic Center Card Clubs, and local Women’s Mahjongg Clubs.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Harold L. Hall; two sons, Brian Douglas (wife Alexandra) Hall of Los Gatos, CA, and Glenn Thomas Hall (fiancé Daria Gregor) of Orlando, FL; granddaughter, Kaitlin Tuesday Hall of Los Gatos, CA; sister, Denise Lee Bayliss of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Robert Allen Bayliss of Port Charlotte, FL; brother-in-law, Roger P. Hall of Bonita Springs, FL; an aunt, an uncle, and many cousins and friends.
