ANITA K. HARLESS, 60, of Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte, Florida, died peacefully Saturday morning, June 7, 2008 at her home in Port Charlotte.
Born on July 30, 1947 in Cambridge, Ohio, Anita came to Florida from her native Ohio at the age of 13. A loving daughter, wife and mother, Anita, longtime resident of Charlotte County, worked over 23 years for UPS operations in Charlotte County, and volunteered over past years at the Peace River Wildlife Center in Punta Gorda.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Charles E. Harless II; a daughter, Travis W. Harless of Sarasota, FL, and son Robert G. Harless of Port Charlotte; step-sons, Charles E. Harless III, of Ellijay, GA, and Timothy W. Harless of North Port, FL; her mother, Alice G. Gaus and sister, Martha Young, both of Martinsburg, WV; and seven grandchildren.
