Ann Margaret Royal-Wilcox, 76, of Punta Gorda Florida died Thursday, January 6, 2022 peacefully at home.

She was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1945 to the late Elizabeth McCabe-Royal and William Christopher Royal.  Ann came to the United States from London, England in 1966. She met Bill Wilcox in Washington, D.C and they were married in 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.  Ann and Bill moved to Port Charlotte, Florida from Knoxville/Oakridge, Tennessee in 1974 with their daughter, Erica.  Ann raised Erica and played tennis.  When Erica was older Ann worked in real estate and as a fundraiser for the Franz Ross YMCA, St. Joseph Hospital and Edison Community College.

Ann is survived by her loving family, her husband of 53 years, William “Bill” H. Wilcox of Punta Gorda; a daughter, Erica Wilcox-Arend of Palmetto, FL; 2 sisters and a brother in London, England; and a sister in of Portsmouth, England; and 2 grandchildren

A Memorial Service to celebrate Ann’s life for family and friends will be announced later.
