Anna was born March 25, 1914 to the late Gen. Joseph P. Hooker Hardin and Ellen Estep Hardin in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and moved to Port Charlotte in 2000 from Baltimore, Maryland. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.
Survived by a son, Paul E. (Rita) Headrick of Port Charlotte; 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, William Shipley in 2003 and a son, Harold Headrick in 2002. Her first husband, James Headrick died in 1945.
Visitation will held Friday 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, May 5, 2017 followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 AM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
