Anthony H. Franco, 78, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at his home in Port Charlotte, Florida.
“Tony” was born July 17th, 1945 in Bristol, RI to Joseph M. and Mary (Bottegleri) Franco who preceded him in death. He is survived by his brothers, Domenic Franco and Joesph M. Franco Jr; his 5 children, Terri Miranda ( Fall River, MA);  Raymond Banville (Port Charlotte, Fl), Hollie Franco (Bristol, RI), Melissa Jane Hale (Galena, Ohio),and Toni Marie Franco (Port Charlotte, Fl.), his 17 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Tony served in The US Military. He was also an avid woodworker, crafter, and was considered a Jack of all Trades. He was skilled in intricate woodworking, quilting, and stain glass. Tony also enjoyed bird keeping.  He was amazingly talented. When he was a young man he participated in Bristol’s Annual Grease Pole Climbing Event, and still holds the fastest time. Services will be held in Bristol, RI. Specific dates will be announced. Anthony’s dynamic and outspoken personality was hard to forget and will be sadly missed.
