Arbutus Marie “Boots” Pratt, 95 of Port Charlotte went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 22, 2023

Arbutus was born on March 14, 1927, to James “Ralph” and Aletha (Adkins) Plyes.  She married John D. Pratt on Feb. 19, 1945.  Her accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She sang and played the guitar.  She grew many gardens and canned food and was a good cook.  She was an adventurous person who once drove from Florida to Arizona by herself.  She was a Solider in the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Eric Swogger of California; her grandchildren, Stephanie Antczack of California; Christopher (Stacy) Swogger of Washington; and great granddaughter, Serenity Swogger of Washington.

Arbutus was preceded in death by her children, J.D. Pratt, Jr., Linda Darnell Pratt, Randolph Pratt, Gary Walden Pratte and Kathleen Marie Swogger.

Graveside services and entombment will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM, February 28, 2023 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952. Capt. Claudia Roseno will officiate.
