Archagelos was born September 25, 1946 in Spilia, Ptolemaidos in Greece. A resident of Punta Gorda since 1989, Archagelos was a longtime local business man and Restaurateur.

Archagelos is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Despina Kourpouanidis; four sons, Anastasios (wife Anastasia) Kourpouanidis, Vasili Kourpouanidis, Nikolaos (wife Amelia) Kourpouanidis, and Aimilianos (wife Efrosini) Kourpouanidis; his father, Anastasios Kourpouanidis; 3 granddaughters, and numerous extended family members.
