Aston was born May 10, 1924 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Port Charlotte in 1987 from Brooklyn, New York. He is a retired Investment banker with the E. F. Hutton and Company Investment banker and Stock broker in New York City. He worked for the State University College of Optometry in New York. He worked as a library technician for the Charlotte County Library System. He was a licensed real estate agent for ERA Randol Realty, Inc. in Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his two daughters, Audrey Samuels of Port Charlotte, FL, and Zandra Samuels of New York, NY; a son, Garnett Samuels of New York, NY; a brother, Norman Samuels of Jamaica; two sisters, Daphne Savage of Canada and Annette Wedderburn of Jamaica; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Rita of Jamaica and two brothers, Eric and Norris of Canada.
