Attela Marie Bordes best known to everyone as Joujou was born on March 02, 1955 in Port Au Prince Haiti, to Carmen Bordes. She moved to Brooklyn New York, along with her son Accel Joseph Jr. For over 30 years Attela called Brooklyn home. She found her calling working as a Caregiver. She became an expert in her field: yet, her true love was traveling. Attela pursued that passion as often as she could even if it were only a weekend getaway to Atlantic City. She had a vivacious personality and made friends wherever she would go. Those who knew her would often remark that she could make everyone around her laugh. Joujou was a member of Beraca Baptist Church for years. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Tati. She departed this life on Saturday, January 30, 2021, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital Florida, while visiting family.
Attela is preceded in death by her mother Carmen Bordes, her Son Accel Joseph Jr, nephew Hans D Bordes Jr and niece Rose Bertha Bordes.  She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Marie Ginette Napoleon, Gerty Dauphin and brother Hans D Bordes. Her passing will also be deeply felt by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Services will be held this Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Roberson Funeral Homes. It is located at: 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL. Visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by Chapel services at 11 am. A private committal for Attela will be held at a later date.
