It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara J. Freda on January 22, 2024. She was a beloved wife of 73 years, a mother of 5, grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 5.

Barbara was born in Bronx, NY. She lived on Long Island, NY, Mesquite TX, and finally settled in Port Charlotte, FL in 1995.

Barbara Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, her son, Michael, her grandson, Dustin and her brother, Rick.  She is survived by her children, Robert, Cliff(Mary), Susan, Richard (Laurie) and her sister, Jeannette (Tom).

She was a long-time member of Murdock Christian Church of Port Charlotte. She loved to smile and go out to eat. Her family, friends and faith meant everything to her.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 26, 2024, at 10:00  at Murdock Christian Church, 17500 Elmwood Avenue, Port Charlotte, Florida 33948 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, Florida.
