She was born March 10, 1949 in Jamaica, West Indies and immigrated to the United States in 1989 to New York, N.Y. She moved to Florida in 2004 and was a member of the Port Charlotte New Testament Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Sheppard of Punta Gorda; four daughters, Maureen Stephenson, Rashida Arscott and Joyce Arscott of Punta Gorda, and Stacy Arscott of Canada; three sons, Marlon O. Daley and George Arscott of Punta Gorda, and Dennis Peart of New York; 6 brothers and 3 sisters; 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM, April 27, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 AM, April 28, 2012 at the Port Charlotte New Testament Church of God. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
