He was born April 4, 1923 in Haiti and moved to Port Charlotte in 1997 from Stamford, Conneticut and was a retired housekeeper for St. Joseph Hospital in Stamford. Member of the Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.
Survived by his loving family, his wife of 49 years, Marie Carmen Benoit of Port Charlotte; a son, Garry Benoit of Maplewood, NJ; a daughter, Myrtha Fabius of Stamford, CT; a sister, Germaine Mamousette of Port Charlotte; and 5 grandchildren, James, Laura, Michael, Christopher and Catherine; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
