I met Beverly six years ago when i became a Reach to Recovery member and joined the Board of the ACS. Beverly has been such a inspirtion to me over these years. I once told her that when i grew up i wanted to be her. My Daughter best described her as A little Army I am a better person for having known her and will never forget the lessons i learned from her. This last year i won the award for Volunteer of the Year, which i credit Beverly for, I never wanted to disappoint her. I will miss her so much, and a Board meeting or a Health Fair will never be the same without her to work with. Sincerely, Lori Getzen

I didn't know Beverly very well, but she was such an inspiration to me when I was very alone and afraid about my diagnosis of breast cancer. I am a cancer survivor and she came to me about a year ago with such positive information and compassion that I will never forget her. What a wonderful person. I only wish I had known her better as she was also my neighbor and oh so pleasant each time I would happen to run into her.
