Brent Farrow, 75, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte.

Brent was born in Southampton, Ontario, Canada on July 2,1950 to Alan and Glenna Farrow. In 1965, the family moved to Caledonia, Ohio, when his father was promoted to President of NaChurs Plant Food Company as well as continuing the family farming business. Brent graduated from River Valley High School in 1969. After high school Brent continued to farm alongside his father and later farmed land of his own. Brent met and married the love of his life Karen in 1970, they went on to welcome two children, Adam and Heather. In 1979, Insta-Gro International, a Farrow family fertilizer company, was created. Like most family businesses, Brent wore many hats, from driving long haul semi-trucks to transferring raw materials or delivering a much-anticipated load of fertilizer right in time for growing season, true farmer serving farmers operation. As the years went on, the farming industry changed and time for a new adventure began. In 1988, the family moved to Port Charlotte, Florida. Brent became the flooring manager at American Wholesale flooring. In 1990, Brent opened his own flooring company Creative Flooring which became Abbey Carpet of Port Charlotte. Again, this industry changed, and Brent returned to helping family again until retiring at 65 and returning to Florida. During his time on earth, lifelong connections were made and joyfully celebrated. From a highly awarded and recognized competitive trapshooting journey, hunting for Elk or Mule Deer in Colorado or Bear hunting in Canada. Salmon fishing in Michigan, Walleye in Canada or just fishing and boating in Charlotte Harbor and the Keys. The high-stake card games of Vegas or Biloxi, the inclusiveness of cruising the Pacific, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. Brent celebrated each adventure with devoted friends and family by his side. A present and loving father to Adam and Heather, always cheering from the fence line to the sideline. A supportive and encouraging grandpa, to Samantha and Matthew and an admiring great grandpa to Lily and Lionel. His love, humor and presence will live on through the ones he celebrated life with.

Brent is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Karen, his children, Adam (Tammy) Farrow of Martel, Ohio, Heather (Michele) Farrow of Saint Cloud, Florida. His loving grandchildren, Samantha (Keny) Castro of Deland, Florida, Matthew Farrow, North Port, FL. Great grandchildren, Lily and Lionel Castro, brother Kevin (Irene) Farrow of Southampton, Ontario, Canada, nephew Nathan of Barrie, Ontario, cousins Mark and Joan Farrow, and their children and grandchildren, and cousins Cory Chornaby and Lori Bauman also of Canada, also Ohio niece Tonya and nephew Todd and Shannon. Brent was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Glenna Farrow and sister Brenda Shoemaker.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, or the Hospice Foundation.
