It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brian A. Koopman, age 47, who left us unexpectedly while at work on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Born on June 21, 1977, Brian was a kind, loyal, and deeply thoughtful man who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He grew up in Indiana where he built a life centered on quiet strength, reliability, and genuine care for those around him. He loved his life in Florida and called Port Charlotte his home. A dedicated machine handler at King Plastic for over 10 years, Brian took great pride in his work and was respected for his integrity and work ethic. Outside of work he enjoyed baseball, music, movies, and spending time with family and friends close and far away. His quiet sense of humor and generous heart will be dearly missed.

Brian has been reunited with his loving parents, Larry and Darlene Koopman, Stepbrother Robert Rothwell, and many beloved members of the Koopman, Kidwell, Fox, and Winings family. He is survived by his sister Victoria (Corey) Antrim, Aunt Linda (Dennis) Thomas, Stepmother Carol Sue Koopman, and Stepbrother Travis Rothwell who will forever cherish him in memory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00AM, Monday, June 23, 2025 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
