Brian William Abel, 63, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.
Brian was born in Woodbury, New Jersey to the late Homer L. Abel, Jr. and Ester Mabel (Lang) Abel. Brian graduated high school in Southwick, MA and then joined the United States Air Force, serving as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. He was a commercial truck driver working for Hughey Construction in Venice FL. Brian moved to Port Charlotte in 2010.
Survived by his loving family, wife of 8 years, Amanda K. Lennon; and their 2 dogs; two sons, Joshua Abel and Jonathan Crone; two sisters, Barbara Bailey and Jill Ahern; two, brothers, Robert Abel and Jack Abel; two granddaughters and two grandsons.
Graveside service with military honors by a U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will be held Thursday 1:30 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
