Bruno Maietta, 58, of Punta Gorda, Florida went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, Florida.
Bruno was born August 3, 1963, in Santa Croce di Carolina, Caserta, Italy to the late Carmine Maietta and Angela (Simeone) Maietta. He immigrated to the United States to Rhode Island in April 1972. He graduated with honors from Central High School in Providence, Rhode Island in 1981. He moved to Port Charlotte, Florida, in 1983 with his oldest brother, Mario, where they joined a third brother, Sam, and their families. Bruno was a Florida Certified General Contractor, a licensed masonry contractor, & most recently was a Restoration Service Contractor. He loved and adored his amazing family, and everyone who met Bruno was immediately a friend for life.

Bruno is survived by his loving companion of 34 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Hughes of Punta Gorda, FL; mother, Angela Maietta of Lake Suzy, FL; four sisters, Lina (Pino) Vessella of Lincoln, RI, Toni (Joe) Lacombe of North Port, FL, Josephine (Steve) Capoverde, and Patricia “Trish” (Dave) Anthony of Port Charlotte, FL and three brothers, Mario (Betty) Maietta, Saverio “Sam” (Susan) Maietta, and Robert “Rob” (Renee’) Maietta all of Port Charlotte, FL; and 17 nieces and nephews, as well as 17 grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday September 17, 2021 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at Roberson Funeral Home, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Entombment will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Road, Englewood, Florida 34223.
