Carl W. Neil, 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Heritage Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Fort Myers.

Carl Was born January 11, 1935 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Florida in 1990 from Brooklyn, New York. He was a retired master carpenter.

He is survived by his loving family, a daughter, Karen Neil Goins and son In law, Michael Goins of Jackson, Georgia; a sister, Patricia Gibbs of Queens, NY; two brothers, Errol Whittaker of Queens, NY and Robert Longmore of Bronx, NY; and 2 grandchildren, Parker and Rebekka Goins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela M. Neil and his mother, Lurline Whittaker.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00, Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 followed by a Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, FL
