Carlton D. Erdmann, age 86, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Port Charlotte, Florida.
He was born in Golden Valley, North Dakota on August, 16, 1937. Carlton was the son of the Late George and Elenora (Krueger) Erdmann. He married his wife Anna Mae Vars in 1958 and they were married for 65 years. He served in the United States Navy on the Battleship U.S.S. Wasp. He traveled from Japan, went around the equator and made many stops along the way before returning to Boston. After the military, he worked for Electric Boat in Groton, CT as a welder. He then joined the Steamfitter Local and worked decades, before retiring.
During retirement, he moved to Florida to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. He spent many hours fishing on his boat. He enjoyed Nascar races and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Watching Monday Night Wrestling was one of his passions, along with yard-saling and trips up town to visit his friends. His favorite thing to do, was spending time at his hunting cabin in Georgia with his Sons, family, and friends. He was a member of the American Legion, The Moose and The Eagles.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Anna Mae, five children, Sons Dennis Erdmann, Chuck Erdmann, Milford Erdmann, Glenn Erdmann (wife Aimee) and his Daughter Colleen Pellegrini. Grandchildren Alexander Erdmann, Nathanial Erdmann, Anthony Pellegrini, Angela Pellegrini, Alyssajo (Pellegrini) Roberts, Kelsey Erdmann and Christopher Erdmann and several Great Grand Children. He is survived by a Sister Yvonne Bender of Arizona and multiple Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Elenora, His brother Floyd Erdmann, Sisters Gayle Weatherly and Joyce Abbey.
A Private funeral service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida, at a later date.
