Carol Ann Schramm, 75, of North Port, FL died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Tidwell Hospice, Port Charlotte, FL.

Carol is formerly of Shaler Township, PA. She worked at Regency Hall Nursing Home for many years as a registered dietician. After retiring and moving to Florida, she enjoyed working with children at Lamarque Elementary School in North Port and was honored to be selected Senior Volunteer of the Year.

Wife of the late Donald Schramm. Carol is survived by her companion of 16 years, Wallace Micosky, her three sons; Daniel (Judy) of Houston, TX; David (Suzanne) of North Port, FL; and Douglas (Shannon) of Glenshaw, PA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Christina, Zachary, Samantha, Abigail, Andrew, and Elena.

Friends will be received Tuesday 9:30-10:30 AM, January 8, 2013 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel with funeral services to follow at 10:30. Interment to take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tidwell Hospice, 1144 Veronica St, Port Charlotte, Florida, 33952.

Wally ,our prayers and thoughts are with you. we pray comfort and peace for you and all the family. Carol was a sweet and warm person, and ill never forget our walks we use to take together.my grandaughter Tina loved her, and couldnt wait to run up and give her a big hug when she seen her. 3 years ago carol and i had just finished our walk when my cell phone rang, and it was my sister calling from out of state to say my mom just passed away. i cant tell you what that big hug meant to me that day that caol gave me, standing outside in my driveway. i will truley miss her presence in our neighborhood and street. my God bring you peace and comfort..
